London-based Split Watches has announced the global release of “The Ozzy,” an official tribute watch dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne, set to launch on May 14, 2026 in a strictly limited run of 50 units. Beyond its exclusivity, the project stands out for its charitable purpose: 100% of proceeds will be donated to MusiCares, the nonprofit partner of the Recording Academy, which provides critical support to music professionals.
Priced at $2,960 USD, “The Ozzy” is positioned as a collector’s piece that blends design, storytelling and purpose. The watch is based on Split’s MC collection and features a Seiko-family automatic chronograph, combined with modern materials and a deliberately raw, stripped-back aesthetic.
Visually, the watch incorporates direct references to Ozzy’s iconic imagery. The musician’s signature purple-tinted glasses appear on the sub-dials, while a cross is positioned at 12 o’clock. Each unit is hand-painted, and Ozzy’s logo is visible on the rotor through an exhibition case back.
The launch is supported by Sharon Osbourne, who emphasized the symbolic significance of the project, echoing Ozzy’s long-standing reflection on time as a precious resource. The collaboration with MusiCares, an organization long supported by the Osbourne family, reinforces the initiative’s charitable dimension.
From the brand’s perspective, the project reflects a deeply personal connection to Ozzy’s legacy. Founders Ed Margulies and Dara Amjadi highlighted how his influence extends beyond music, embodying values such as authenticity and self-expression.
