German thrash metal titans Kreator have unleashed their brand-new single “Tränenpalast”, taken from their highly anticipated sixteenth studio album Krushers Of The World, due out January 16, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records. Released just in time for Halloween, the track pays tribute to Dario Argento’s 1977 horror masterpiece Suspiria, revered as one of the most influential works in cinematic history.
‘Tränenpalast’ blends Kreator’s signature ferocity with melodic death metal textures, nodding to the original soundtrack by Italian prog legends Goblin while lyrically invoking The Three Mothers — the ancient witch coven central to Suspiria’s mythos.
The accompanying video, crafted by the acclaimed Polish visual collective Grupa 13, depicts Kreator performing within the cursed ballet academy from Argento’s universe, intercut with haunting imagery of witches in eerie transformation. The song also features a powerful guest vocal appearance from Britta Görtz of Hiraes, adding an extra layer of menace to the track’s dense atmosphere.
Frontman Mille Petrozza shared:
“‘Tränenpalast’ is our tribute to the great Italian film tradition. We were inspired by Dario Argento’s ‘Suspiria’ and Luca Guadagnino’s remake. Musically, it’s a bow to Goblin and the great Claudio Simonetti. We hope fans enjoy it as much as we did creating it. All love to the masters — hail the hordes!”
