Postpunk, folk, indie, experimental, dark-wave, and rap were the stars of the day that they had their headquarters at the Terraza Valllarta for the first time.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m., Birdhaus, Mortemart and The Polar Dream opened the feast. The trio of groups demonstrated that in Guadalahara unconventional sounds are made but with highly sensitive textures, their common denominator: an embrace to the soul.

Few festivals give reflectors to women and the Adverse also had a success in that, first with the theatricality of Descartes to Kant and later with Blackwater Holylight.

The former, prodigal daughters of Guadalajara who, although they no longer reside in the city, have managed to earn a solid base of followers, the latter a pleasant surprise for many, including this humble servant. From the moment they stepped on the stage they filled it with their stoner and made their instruments roar, they were a five-headed beast that shook you completely with their sound.

After the stunner it was time to lower the revs of the already night. Black Ice Cream was the smoothest act of the night. 'The mature Caloncho', they shouted around because of his look. 40 minutes later, he finished his presentation, leaving us with a honeyed and boring aroma.

It was time to fully recover the energy thanks to Light Asylum and its rabid dark wave. Shannon Funchess, her vocalist is vitality and pure protest. At the end it was the turn of one expected of the night; Motorama yes, they often come to GDL, but here they have plenty of people who love them.

The festival was getting mature, the main acts arrived, the multi-instrumentalist Ian Williams and the drummer John Stainer that together make up Battles, and the appearance of Metronomy, the latter all dressed in white who played their greatest hits.
