Coachella, one of the largest music festivals on the planet will cancel its 2020 edition, according to a report by Billboard. The festival would take place from October 9 to 18 of this year -although originally it would take place in April- and would have the return of Rage Against the Machine.
The cancellation would come after Goldenvoice / AEG, the event's promoter cut the 15% from its workforce, suspended another 100 people temporarily, and made cuts in the salaries of the remaining employees, saying that the events would not resume until 2021. “Cuando podamos reabrir, tomará tiempo hasta que veamos a nuestros fans, socios y patrocinadores regresar por completo.” said AEG CEO Dan Beckerman.
According to the information provided by AEG, the festival has two options: return in April 2021 with restrictions on its capacity or return in October 2021 with no attendance problems.
Until now, the festival has not spoken about it.
