The first edition of Metal Devastation It was planned to take place in Querétaro, however for organizational reasons, the festival passed into the hands of Chamuco Productions, one of the most important promoters in our country, who moved the event to El Sala Puebla in Mexico City.
Access to the event began at 12:30 noon, where fans of the most extreme sub-genres of metal such as the death metal core and black among others.
The national bands that gave rise to the event and stood out in their presentation were Longhorn Skull and Never Say Die, who began to apprehend the low number of people in the forum, which began to increase as the hours passed. Also, in these first performances, people were fascinated by the large official merch area they had on the premises just before going upstairs to see the gangs.
But the real party started with Skullcrack, which with its energetic hardcore punk from California, managed to catch the public and interact with them how? near the end of his presentation, the bassist thought it was an excellent idea to jump off the stage with a wrestler mask towards the audience, throwing several of them of course, but all amused by the event, in addition the vocalist bathed in beer, in front row you could perceive a sticky floor, but it was worth it.
Crematorium took the stage, they are named as 'murdercore' and although his performance did not have anything special, the charisma of the robust vocalist was the protagonist of the show, who made jokes about his weight and Trump, something that was very attentive to the audience.
The stage was getting ready to receive Fit for An Autopsy, originating from New Jersey and one of the gangs deathcore which has been making noise in the industry, without a doubt one of the best performances of the night, Joe 'Bad', vocalist of the band, managed to connect perfectly with the Mexicans, you could even see one or the other singing their best-known songs, such as 'Heads Will Hang', 'Iron Moon' and 'Black Mammoth'.
Latino power returned to the stage with the Brazilians Power From Hellwho with makeup 'trve' they took the stage to perform the best of their 'speed thrash', that although all the songs sounded the same, they were perfect for the dancing lovers of the moshpit.
He sludge took the stage with the interpretation of Eyehategod, which in my opinion was too poor and boring, although it was one of the most anticipated bands by the audience, in addition, in very bad taste the departure of the vocalist in a completely drunk state, even a couple of assistants had a problem with him, too Who can think of unplugging their equipment? Then, the vocalist kicked them and they took this couple out of the room. Bad on both sides, but sadly, that event was the most entertaining of his entire performance.
After this uncomfortable event, Incantation He took the stage, without a doubt the atmosphere of his performance was full of admiration from the public, who at this time was already rough in the event, they undoubtedly gave a great show, in addition to being a cult band that marked the death metal, was another favorite of the night, in which with its heaviness and linear rhythm it totally captivated the venue.
Nargaroth He made wait for his performance to start, one of the bands that are very much enjoyed live, all were energetic during their show, until an accident occurred during one of the moshpit in which they took out one of the bloody boys, even so, it was no reason to stop the party that was taking place with the band.
Definitely, Kataklysm He managed a perfect closing for the festival, who gave an energetic and powerful show as usual. The performance of this day was full of themes that delighted the fans of the old school band, as promised, in addition, the band managed to unleash the slam several times and gave a quality concert as usual. The attendees were satisfied.
We don't know if Chamuco plans a second edition of Metal Devastation, that we completely trust that he will achieve a great job again, these types of genres deserved a festival in our country.
