Wardruna announced its participation in Fire In The Mountains 2025 from July 25-27, as an artist but also as a collaborative partner of Blackfeet Nation and the festival organizers.
Fire In The Mountains is all about community, connection to music and the natural world, making it a natural fit for the Norwegian group. While in previous years the festival has been held amidst the Tetons, the 2025 edition will move to Red Eagle Campground in the Blackfeet Nation in northwestern Montana. In partnership with the Blackfeet Nation community, Fire in the Mountains 2025 will be an alcohol-free event. This decision was made in respect of the hosts’ wishes and is one the festival aligns with.
“Wardruna is honored to participate in this one-of-a-kind multicultural gathering on the sacred tribal lands of the Blackfoot Nation,” shares Wardruna’s Einar Selvik. “Fire In The Mountains is a unique festival, to begin with. Its staunch focus on the importance of connection to the land and culture, as well as personal growth as human beings, is something that resonates greatly with Wardruna’s work. The festival’s newly formed alliance with the Blackfoot Nation further increases its potential significance and depth.”
