The Greeks 1000modsThey first arrived in the American Continent and their first stop was Mexico, where they offered a couple of dates, the second of which was the one held at the Indie Rocks Forum in Mexico City, with a fairly good entrance.
The night began with the appearance on the stage of the Mexicans Johnny Nasty Boots, who were in charge of lighting the atmosphere on a night that painted to be memorable. They offered us an energetic and direct show, full of rock & roll and blues, and they showed that they are one of those national bands that is worth seeing live.
The second act of the night was given by the Californian female trio LA Witch, who on this occasion had been presenting their debut album, and gave us a pretty good show, where garage rock resonated with power. The girls thanked the audience between song and song, in moments with words in Spanish by their vocalist and guitarist.
They ended their show leaving the right atmosphere to prepare us for what was coming and that we would see for the first time in the city, the practically emblematic Greek quartet within the current stoner, appeared on stage and began their act with Above 179, theme that begins its most recent production "Repeated Exposure to ...", which was a good start to immerse ourselves in the density and power that would envelop us that night.
Powerful and imposing turn out to be the presentations of 1000mods, each of the themes executed, such as "Vidage", Loose, “Electric Carve”To name a few, they boomed loudly against the walls of the forum and managed to increase the euphoria of the audience, with whom the band made a great connection.
The moment arrived for the band to say goodbye, showing themselves truly grateful and announcing that they will surely return. A couple of minutes later, they would again take their instruments to end the night with "Super Van Vacation".
Perhaps many of us have never heard any mention of that distant place in Greece called Chiliomodi, where the band is from, but those of us who love the genre have heard a lot about 1000mods, about their journey, their powerful sound, their energy and execution and about what his career surely holds for them, and when talking about stoner and its aspects, 1000mods will always be present.
