Experimental rock band Tomahawk will return to the road this summer for their first live performances in 13 years. The U.S. run celebrates the band’s 25th anniversary and reunites them with labelmates Melvins for their first tour together since 2003.
The lineup features Duane Denison, Mike Patton, John Stanier and Trevor Dunn. Tomahawk last toured behind Oddfellows in 2013 before returning in 2021 with Tonic Immobility, an album that was never performed live due to the pandemic.
Denison described the tour as an Olympic-style comeback, while Buzz Osborne praised the pairing as a natural fit. The Melvins will perform in their four-piece lineup featuring Osborne, Dale Crover, Steven McDonald and Coady Willis.
Dubbed “A Huge Waste of Your Time and Money,” the tour begins July 18 in Nashville and concludes August 15 in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m. local time, with an Ipecac pre-sale on Wednesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. local time (password: Flashback).
