Thrice announces tenth album Horizons/West and debuts lead single

Thrice returns with Horizons/West, their tenth album, set for October 3. Lead single “Gnash” previews a reflective, post‑rock continuation of their 2021 release.

California rock innovators Thrice will release their tenth studio album, Horizons/West, on October 3, 2025, via Epitaph Records. Serving as a companion to 2021’s Horizons/East, this record pushes their sonic journey forward with cinematic textures and philosophical lyricism.

The lead single, “Gnash”, is out now on all streaming platforms—an urgent, emotionally charged track that signals a direct continuation of their previous musical chapter. Frontman Dustin Kensrue comments:

“It’s the first time we leaned into something that felt like a direct sequel… a companion to Horizons/East.”

Horizons/West blends post-rock atmospheres, intricate rhythms, and raw emotional directness. The album addresses themes of personal identity, societal manipulation, and technological anxiety while staying true to the band’s DIY ethos.

Recorded at home in their New Grass Studios with mixing by Scott Evans, the album maintains Thrice’s independent spirit. Kensrue adds:

“This record is about peeling back how algorithms, fear, and social echo chambers influence us. We’ve always followed our curiosity—and we’re continuing to grow and explore.”

Following its release, Thrice will embark on a U.S. headline tour with Modern Color and Downward, kicking off October 17 in San Diego and wrapping November 23 in Anaheim. Pre-orders for vinyl, exclusive merch, and tickets are now live.
