Through a statement published on his social networks, guitarist Jeff Schroeder announced his departure from Smashing Pumpkins due to his desire to seek new paths in his musical career.
“When I joined The Smashing Pumpkins in 2007, I didn't know what I was getting into. The opportunity came out of nowhere. It was one of the best decisions I have made in life. The amount of wonderful memories I have created with the band over these 16 years are countless. Therefore, this decision has been very difficult. I have decided to leave the band to make some space for myself to explore other paths.
