TESTAMENT return with Para Bellum, a defiant reflection of modern chaos, see new video 'High Noon'

TESTAMENT unleash Para Bellum, their fiercest and most introspective album yet — a sonic battle cry for an age of chaos and disconnection.

Thrash metal legends TESTAMENT have released their long-awaited 14th studio album, Para Bellum, via Nuclear Blast Records — a blistering statement of defiance and awareness in an increasingly fractured world.

Meaning “prepared for war” in Latin, Para Bellum finds the band exploring humanity’s fragile alliance with its own creations, blending urgency, aggression, and reflection. It’s a testament (pun intended) to a band that continues to evolve while staying true to its roots.

The new single “High Noon” stands as a cinematic centerpiece — a western showdown transposed into riff-driven fury. Mixing classic thrash energy reminiscent of The Gathering with modern production and atmosphere, the song bridges TESTAMENT’s legacy and their ongoing creative fire.

Frontman Chuck Billy shares: “We’re very excited about the release of Para Bellum. These songs pushed me beyond my comfort zone, but I’m proud of the result. See you in the pit!”

Produced by Juan Urteaga, mixed by Jens Bogren, and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios, the album boasts exceptional sonic precision. Artist Eliran Kantor once again delivers a breathtaking cover — a hand-painted image of a missile-forged angel surrounded by symbols of devotion and destruction.

Para Bellum is not just another record; it’s an artistic statement forged in the fires of a chaotic era. TESTAMENT continues to lead the charge, as powerful and purposeful as ever.
