The guitar that Kurt Cobain used in 'MTV Unplugged' is auctioned for $ 6 million

The electro-acoustic guitar that Kurt Cobain used during the concert ‘MTV Unplugged’ of Nirvana, fue subastada por la casa Julien´s Auction durante el evento ‘Music Icons’.

Although the initial estimate for the cost of the instrument was calculated at one million dollars, reality surpassed the theory and reached a record price of 6 million dollars, making it the most expensive guitar of all time, besides being the memorabilia piece of Nirvana most expensive in history.

The guitar buyer is none other than Peter Freedman, founder of the company RØDE Microphones.
