Following the success of their 2023 Nuclear Blast debut Sight To Sound, North Carolina progressive alternative metallers Stellar Circuits have revealed their upcoming album Phantom :: Phoenix, set for release on November 14.
Frontman Ben Beddick described the album as a meditation on death, rebirth, and transformation through fire: “This record reflects the cycle of loss and renewal. Each of us went through different periods of grief while writing, and that shaped both the lyrical content and the sounds that emerged”.
The band launches the cycle with the opening track and lead single “I See Your Spirit”, a song that embodies the central theme of revitalization. For Beddick, its creation was marked by a life-threatening event—waking up in the middle of the night to find his house engulfed in flames: “The smoke was so thick I could barely breathe, and the firefighters told me I was minutes from death. It was disturbing how this happened while we were writing about death and rebirth through fire. The connection was undeniable”.
Musically, “I See Your Spirit” captures both the urgency and vulnerability that define Phantom :: Phoenix, serving as an introduction to an album that pushes the band into new sonic territory.
With this release, Stellar Circuits continue to evolve, solidifying their reputation as one of the most promising rising acts in modern progressive and alternative metal.
