One of the bands most loved by the Mexican public is, without a doubt, Epica. The Dutch led by the imposing presence of Simone Simons have managed to pave a path and a scope rarely seen for a metal band in Aztec lands.
After two decades of constant visits, the band announced the performance of two special concerts with a symphony orchestra, which had only been held in Europe and which will also mark the debut Epica in one of the most important venues in Latin America: The National Auditorium in Mexico City.
“When we arrived in Mexico for the first time, we did not dare to even dream of the success we have had, so lasting and that seems to continue growing,” says Simone Simons in an interview with Summa Inferno, “These 20 years have passed too quickly and I can I remember perfectly the first time I arrived in Mexico and the reception the fans gave us. “We’ve been there 10 or 15 times, maybe more, so Mexico feels like a second home to me.”
