Signs Of The Swarm have officially released their sixth studio album, To Rid Myself of Truth, today via Century Media Records. Accompanying the launch is the video for “Natural Selection,” a track that has already cemented itself as a highlight of their live performances.
Frontman David Simonich reflected on the song’s impact: “Natural Selection has become a defining moment in our set. We’ve played it across North America and Europe, and the crowd’s reaction made it clear—this song had to be the anchor of our album cycle. It’s about transformation: the prey becoming the predator, breaking limits, and evolving into something stronger.”
The video, directed by longtime collaborator Eric DiCarlo, captures the song’s intensity in a visceral and visual form, further elevating its message of metamorphosis and raw aggression.
Produced once again by Josh Schroeder—known for his work with Lorna Shore, Mental Cruelty, and Varials—the album sharpens the band’s sound, blending the relentless brutality of deathcore with the mechanical precision and heaviness reminiscent of Meshuggah, Gojira, and Fear Factory.
The addition of guitarist and backing vocalist Carl Schulz brought fresh dynamics into the studio, complementing bassist Michael Cassese and allowing the quartet to push their sonic boundaries further. The result is a record the band proudly describes as “more pissed, more serrated, and more unrelenting” than anything they’ve done before.
To Rid Myself of Truth positions Signs Of The Swarm not just as torchbearers of deathcore but as innovators pushing the genre into new, extreme territories.
