Reba Meyers releases new solo single, 'Got Your Hold On Me'

Code Orange and Marilyn Manson guitarist Reba Meyers has released ‘Got Your Hold On Me’, a new preview of her highly anticipated debut solo album. The song was produced by Meyers with mixing by Steve Evetts (The Cure, The Wonder Years) and mastering by Alan Douches.

“Being human is painful. Being human and being in love with something or someone is even more painful. I hope we can all find what helps us cope without it killing us or turning us into emotionless robots. For me, songwriting helps,” Meyers shares. “Thank you for listening and to everyone who has supported me so far in any band or project.”

Regarding her decision to focus on her solo work, Meyers explained, “I realize I now have the space to take a panoramic view of my teenage years, and that perspective made it the perfect time to start releasing solo material. A moment I was sure would come, though I never knew exactly what it would look like. With it, I can experience the rewarding yet stressful process of allowing myself to be a more vulnerable person and proudly explore that natural foundation, beyond how I’ve been portrayed.”

Meyers' full album is expected to be released later this year, with more details to come.
