Legendary vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, frontman of Black Sabbath and a true pioneer of heavy metal, has died at the age of 76 surrounded by loved ones. Just weeks ago, he made his final public appearance in Birmingham in an emotional farewell concert.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019, Ozzy struggled with mobility in later years but faced his health challenges head-on, delivering a powerful final performance with Black Sabbath despite the adversity.

On July 5, 2025, at Villa Park, he and his bandmates delivered a legacy-defining show to over 40,000 live fans and millions online, closing out Black Sabbath’s career with star-studded performances and proceeds benefiting multiple charities.

His family stated:

“Ozzy passed away surrounded by love. His life was a beacon of creativity, courage, and musical legacy. His influence on metal and popular culture will live on forever.”
