Finnish band Nightwish have released the single 'Perfume of the Timeless', the first promotional cut from their upcoming studio album, 'Yesterwynde' which will see daylight on September 20, 2024 via Nuclear Blast.
“When we had the first meeting with Nuclear Blast, talking about the new album and the singles, I told them that the first single would be a song called 'Perfume Of The Timeless' and that it's eight and a half minutes long and the chorus comes at the end and they said , 'perfect!' I think it has to do with the fact that we have a long legacy. You know, we can do whatever we want, and I do, but it says something that we can do that, when I heard that for Spotify it's good the voices start after 15 seconds, or people skip it and they no longer have the ability to pay attention,” says Tuomas Holopainen.
“Yesterwynde is a fantastic journey through time, memory and the better angels of human nature.
After three years of work, we are beyond excited to soon share our tenth album with the world!” , says Tuomas.
