Armando Molina, founder of Avándaro, died

Armando Molina, one of the pioneers of the rock movement in Mexico and one of the founders of the mythical festival of Vandal, passed away today at the age of 72 in Hermosillo, Sonora. The legendary Mexican musician had been under medical observation for a while.

Molina was born on November 13, 1943 in Mexico City and throughout his career he promoted the growth of rock in our country, having as an epitome Avándaro, which took place on September 11 and 12, 1971 in Tenango, State from Mexico with an attendance of more than 100,000 people and is considered by many to be the Mexican version of Woodstock.
