Japanese post-rock band, Mono, have confirmed the release of their twelfth studio album, 'Oath', which they will use to celebrate 25 years of existence and will be released on June 14 through Pelagic Records. The first single will be released on April 17.
“The theme this time is “time and life.” We wanted to express the “limited time of life” and the “meaning of life.” Our time passes day by day. Which is my goal? What is my purpose? What is the reason I live every day? What can we do? What should we do? We wanted to know how we felt about time and life, what we have lost and found, and the questions and answers we discovered during our good and difficult times. “We live by a vote that hasn’t changed since we were children.”
‘Oath‘ was recorded and mixed by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio and was mastered by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service.
