Metallica has announced an exclusive concert for August 28 at Stephen Talkhouse in Long Island to celebrate the launch of their new SiriusXM radio channel, “Maximum Metallica.” The channel will be dedicated entirely to the band and begins full programming on August 29.
The event will be limited to only 250 attendees, with access granted through exclusive contests for fan club members and SiriusXM subscribers. The full concert recording will be broadcast on September 1 via SiriusXM’s channel 42 and available on-demand via the app. A special rebroadcast will also air on Howard 101 on September 5.
“Maximum Metallica” will offer a curated selection of content from all eras of the band’s career, including hits, deep cuts, live tracks, unreleased material, and exclusive commentary from the band members themselves. The channel will be available for free during September in SiriusXM-equipped vehicles.
The announcement comes as Metallica continues their global “M72” tour, which has brought them to stadiums around the world with a groundbreaking production and fan experience. The launch of the channel strengthens their connection with fans and expands their reach through dedicated digital platforms.
