Mayhem announces new album, ‘Liturgy of Death’

Mayhem announce their seventh studio album Liturgy Of Death, due February 6, 2026 via Century Media Records, and debut the first single and video “Weep For Nothing”.

Norwegian black-metal pioneers Mayhem have revealed Liturgy Of Death, their first studio record since 2019, arriving February 6 2026 via Century Media Records. The lead single “Weep For Nothing” is out now with an official video. The album focuses on themes of death, loss and existential dread, delivered with uncompromising brutality. “Weep For Nothing” transforms mortality’s fear into revelation: a hymn to nothingness propelled by frigid, razor-sharp riffs and suffocating atmosphere.

The lineup —Attila Csihar (vocals), Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Ghul (guitar), Teloch (guitar)— streamlines their chemistry into a ferocious new chapter. Liturgy Of Death sees Mayhem reaffirm their legacy as one of extreme metal’s most unyielding forces.
