The Norwegian band Leprous has released the official video for their new single, 'Silently Walk Alone', a new promotional cut from their highly anticipated eighth studio album, 'Melodies Of Atonement', which will be released on August 30, 2024 via InsideOutMusic globally.
“Silently Walking Alone” reveals a whole new facet of Leprous' sound, moving away from their progressive roots to create an exciting and adventurous yet familiar sonic experience. This is Leprous' new sound in 2024, proving that the band is determined to reach a whole new level beyond the heavy metal landscape.
“’Silently Walking Alone’ is the first song on the album and offers a totally different vibe than our previous album. It's very electronic, epic, simple and heavy. It's like the sister song to 'Atonement' in terms of sound, but the rest of the album will surprise you," says Einar Solberg. “The song is about gradually learning to be okay with myself and enjoy my own company. Hiking and nature have helped me calm my mind and find greater balance.”
'Melodies of Atonement' was recorded with David Castillo at Ghost Ward Studios in Sweden, mixed by Adam Noble (Biffy Clyro, Placebo, Nothing But Thieves) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, The Gaslight Anthem ).
