Cradle Of Filth 2023

Collaboration between Cradle of Filth and Ed Sheeran will be released in 2025

Dani Filth, leader of Cradle of Filth, recently spoke with the Polish podcast Pełna Kulturka about the band's new album, which is in the production phase, and confirmed that the long-awaited and controversial collaboration with pop singer Ed Sheeran will be part of this new job.

“Well, one of the surprises - although it's not such a surprise anymore - is that we have a song in which Ed Sheeran is a guest. And yes, it will be on the album. People who have already heard it were delighted, it sounds like a mix between the two. It sounds like Ed Sheeran and it sounds like Cradle of Filth. It has an explosive rhythm. I think this new album will surprise a lot of people, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the album is something commercial. It is a very heavy album. We just improved how we played and moved one step further into the future compared to our previous album. We see everything as an evolution, everything as an evolutionary step, everything as a necessary link in the chain. And this album will be an important album for us, the first for Napalm Records, if you don't count the live album. But, yes, we are very excited. We look forward to that year. And there is no rush. We have many shows. But let's expect the first single probably around September or October.”

Cradle of Filth's most recent album, 'Existence is Futile' was released in 2021.
