For nearly three decades, the melodic death metal band KATAKLYSM, hailing from the United States and Quebec (the French-speaking region of Canada), has delivered waves of uncompromising, powerful sound across the globe. Today, the band offers fans a new song titled “The Rabbit Hole.”
With brutal honesty and unrelenting force, it shatters the illusion of control and challenges listeners to wake up, fight back, and resist. A soundtrack for the disillusioned—unapologetic and relentless. The song features Clemens Wijers (CARACH ANGREN), who crafted the track’s ambient sound effects and synth section.s
The single was recorded earlier this year at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX and Studio City, CA, as well as The Cabin in Orlando, FL and Silver Black Studio in Laval, Quebec, Canada. ‘The Rabbit Hole’ was produced, mixed, and mastered by the band’s own J-F Dagenais.
Maurizio Iacono of KATAKLYSM states: “‘The Rabbit Hole’ is the band’s first standalone single since the classic track ‘Iron Will’. As the world spins out of control and people search for purpose and truth, we felt questioning these things is an important thing to do. There’s a lot of noise and distortion out there these days, but always trust your gut and what’s right versus what you’re force-fed. So why not turn these thoughts into music? While we wait for the next record, we decided to release this heavyweight. Spread it and enjoy!”
