Hammerfall officially announced the release of its new studio album, 'Avenge the Fallen', the thirteenth on its resume. It will be released on August 9 through Nuclear Blast Records.
“This is our 13th album. How do you stay relevant after 13 albums? It's almost like what the first verse of the song 'Avenge the Fallen' says; “What is worse, being the one who died, or being the one who survived?” Think about that, because it is difficult,” says Joacim Cans.
Oscar Dronjak comments: “I started working on Hail To The King while we were touring the United States with Helloween. By the end of the tour, I was close to finishing the song, so at the end of the show we did in Los Angeles I got on the bus to work like crazy on the track to put together all the missing pieces. That was the show where one of my favorite wrestlers, Chris Jericho, went to visit me. It was also the concert where Fredrik met his idol Frank Bello from Anthrax and Joacim met Jay Ruston, producer for Anthrax, Armored Saint, Anthrax, Corey Taylor and many more, with whom we got together and produced the vocals for 'Avenge The Fallen'. I missed several moments that night, but at least we have this song!
