As they put the finishing touches on their seventh studio album, Grailknights have unveiled the first chapter with the release of the single ‘Necronomicon‘. We’re talking about a quintet founded in the fictional Grailham City that handles a superheroic theme and this time faces none other than Cthulhu, a monstrous entity similar to a Kraken. The title of the single is sure to resonate with many, as it is inspired by the infamous H.P. Lovecraft book of the same name.
“With ‘Necronomicon’, we continue a journey we began on our album Knightfall in 2018. We’ve always been fascinated by the world of H.P. Lovecraft: the atmosphere, the mystery, the feeling of something vast and unknown just beneath the surface. This song is our way of diving back into that universe. It’s also a spiritual continuation of our previous track ‘Cthulhu’. This time we wanted to explore a different corner of that mythos, something darker, more disturbing, and a bit more epic-sounding. Producing and recording ‘Necronomicon’ with the talented Sascha Paeth was intense and creatively rewarding. We focused on capturing that eerie, otherworldly vibe that Lovecraft’s stories are known for, while staying true to our heroic, uplifting sound. We’re proud of how it has “We’ve been there, and we’re excited to finally share it with you!”
