Fit For An Autopsy releases single, 'Hostage'

Fit For An Autopsy has released the official video for 'Hostage', the first single from their upcoming studio album, 'The Nothing That Is ' which will be available from October 25 via Nuclear Blast Records. The video is the work of director Eric Richter.

“'Hostage' is an analysis of human trauma and the pain that a person carries throughout life. The inability to escape the events of the past, combined with the feeling of an increasingly dark future, can weigh on a person like nothing else. “This song is meant to capture that complex, overwhelming emotion and convey the negative side of a sad existence.”

Produced by Putney at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in Kinnelon, New Jersey, The Nothing That Is is an album filled with crushing anger, frustration and despair. Songs like “Hostage,” “Red Horizon,” “Lower Purpose,” and the crushing title track grapple with the horrors the human race has needlessly inflicted on the world, while the epic, introspective closer “The Silver Sun” bitterly reflects on our uncertain future. Built to be listened to in its entirety in a single sitting, The Nothing That Is flows like the immersive soundtrack to a documentary about our increasingly dystopian existence. A wake-up call for humanity and an intensely complete listening experience, The Nothing That Is brims with both aggression and melody, its invigorating music delivered with the confidence of a band that has honed its skills and forged its sense of purpose through of more than fifteen years of intense live shows. Sure enough of their place in the metal firmament to let their music go wherever it feels right for a given song, Fit for an Autopsy have delivered what could very well be the biggest album of their career. .
