Nightwish's new studio album is about to be finished. After several months of work in the recording studio, the band has announced that their tenth album is close to the final goal and will be able to be heard soon.
Through their social networks, Nightwish published the following message: “The mixing of Nightwish's tenth album is in process at Finnvox Studios with Mikko, Tero and Tuomas. Not long now…"
Last October, Tuomas Holopainen confirmed that the new studio album by Nightwish has finished recording at Abbey Road Studios.
"It's done! A total of 1,065 takes of orchestras, choirs and special guests recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Our sincere thanks to everyone involved, musicians, singers and technicians alike. Their passion and dedication never ceases to amaze us.
A very special thank you to James Shearman for wonderfully filling the enormous shoes of our veteran orchestral arranger, Pip Williams,” the post reads.
For now, there is no release date for the new material, but it will be released at some point in 2024; However, the band will not do a promotional tour for it, since a few months ago they announced that they will take an indefinite hiatus.
