The highly anticipated film Wind of Change, inspired by the legendary German band Scorpions, now has its cast confirmed. Filming recently began at Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios in London. The cast includes:
Directed by Alex Ranarivelo and produced by ESX Entertainment alongside FOX Entertainment and Warner Bros., the film follows the journey of the Scorpions from their rise in post-war Germany to international fame in the 1980s. The story highlights their pivotal role in rock history, particularly through the hit single “Wind of Change,” an anthem associated with the end of the Cold War and a symbol of hope and unity.
Filming is expected to take place in 2025, with a planned release later that year, possibly coinciding with the band's 60th anniversary. This biopic seeks to capture both the intimate and popular moments of the Scorpions, exploring their connection to the political and cultural context of the time.
With over 110 million albums sold and an undeniable global influence, Scorpions combined sonic power and social consciousness, crossing borders—both physical and cultural—between East and West. Wind of Change promises to revive that magic, showcasing the impact of their music on contemporary history.
