Death Angel releases single, 'Cult of the Used'

Death Angel returns in 2025 with their blistering new single “Cult of the Used,” featuring an animated video and a massive U.S. tour marking their long-awaited comeback.

Thrash metal legends Death Angel are back with a vengeance, unleashing their new single “Cult of the Used”, their second original track in six years. The song explodes with their trademark speed, searing riffs, and uncompromising energy, accompanied by an animated video directed by Tamara Llenas of Aimed and Framed, visualizing a hypnotic tale of control and manipulation.

Guitarist Rob Cavestany shared:

“Our new song Cult of the Used represents a society under hypnosis, strategically manipulated and exploited. It’s a call to break free from that so-called ‘reality.’ Fendie Daywalker did an amazing job illustrating the Cult Leader — luring blinded followers who remain entranced by his bizarre yet charismatic presence.”

The single arrives just ahead of the band’s Act III U.S. Tour, kicking off November 26 in Denver and closing with two nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 18 and 19, celebrating the 10th edition of their Another Death Angel Xmas Shows.

“We haven’t headlined a U.S. tour since 2019,” Cavestany added. “We wanted this return to be VERY special, and we can’t wait to include Cult of the Used in our setlist.”

Following their earlier 2025 release “Wrath (Bring Fire)”, this new single cements Death Angel’s ongoing reign as one of the Bay Area’s most powerful and enduring thrash acts.

Tickets for the Act III U.S. Tour and Xmas Shows are on sale now at deathangel.us/tour .
