Dark Lunacy releases video, ‘Dolls’ celebrating 25 years since their debut

Italians Dark Lunacy celebrate the 25th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album ‘Devoid’, which will be reissued as a remastered 2LP gatefold on February 21st via Fuel Records/Self.

In addition to the original track listing, ‘Devoid 25th Anniversary’ contains ‘From The Blacked Soul’ from the first EP, ‘Oblivion’, a bonus song from the album’s recording sessions and a commemorative poster.

“Oblivion” is not a mere bonus track, but represents a missing piece that, for particular reasons related to an emotional decision by Mike Lunacy, was not included, even if it was conceived as an integral part of the musical and narrative journey of ‘Devoid’.

“‘Devoid’, released in December 2000, represents the beginning of the entire Dark Lunacy story. A 25-year journey that has given us a dream, especially on a human level, being one of our most important compositional steps. Each song is in constant balance between the audacity of the beginnings and the lack of scruples of the twenties, but always with that minimum of maturity capable of calibrating the forces in the face of a project created not only to excite the performers, but also to be a true recording product. The result at the time far exceeded our expectations and everything began from there. The beginning of a journey that has brought us to today and that we are very proud to present live again to share with the public the emotions of that time that have never changed,” says Mike Lunacy.
