Corey Taylor talks about his mental health and the cancellation of his tour

Slipknot singer Corey Taylor posted a video on his official Instagram account to talk about the cancellation of his North American tour in promotion of his new solo album , 'CMFT2' and your mental health; him after being criticized for having announced dates in Asia.

“The truth is, I understand why many of you are upset and I'm just going to summarize. “Over the last year, I have had a complete and utter breakdown of my boundaries, my mental health, my ego, the whole nine yards, y that culminates in a very, very real relapse in a way that I don't even recognize myself,” he says. “The reason I'm keeping the tour in Southeast Asia is because it's literally four shows, just one week. I'll see how it goes and take it day by day. I'm working on my self-care right now, getting the help I need, and surrounding myself with my family. To everyone who is worried about me, thank you very much. I really appreciate it. To everyone who is upset with me, I hope this answers any of your questions. I'm doing what's best for me right now. It's a long road and I don't know what's at the end of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing it. I am grateful and hope you can show me some patience. Thank you."

Corey Taylor announced the cancellation of his previously announced North American tour in promotion of his most recent solo album 'CMFT2', due to physical problems that would have affected his condition and his family relationship.

“It is with great regret that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming North American tour. Over the past few months my physical and mental health has been deteriorating and I got to a place that was unhealthy for my family and me. I know this decision will surprise some and may be considered unpopular by others, but after carefully considering where I am and where I was going, I need to get back on my feet and be home with my family for now. Those of you who purchased tickets and VIP packages for this upcoming tour will receive a full refund. Sending my love to the fans, my band, my family and friends, and everyone who has helped me get here. I promise I'm doing everything I can to be as healthy as possible. Until then, my apologies to everyone we saw on the tour and I hope to see you again later.”

The album'CMFT2'was released last September.
