British metal outfit CONJURER has revealed their new single “Let Us Live”, the second preview of their upcoming album Unself, set for release on October 24, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. The track is accompanied by a music video, now publicly available.
This single follows “Hang Them In Your Head”, the album’s first release, with which the band signaled a shift toward more direct and unambiguous lyrical content, tackling themes such as inequality, social alienation, and existential unrest, paired with more dynamic, organic musical textures.
Vocalist/guitarist Dan Nightingale has stated that “Let Us Live” addresses the experiences of trans and gender non-conforming people, highlighting how such individuals are often demonized or seen as undeserving of rights. The song frames a dialogue between oppressor and oppressed, pleading simply to be allowed to live. Nightingale was diagnosed with autism at age 31 and has come to identify as non-binary; these personal experiences deeply inform the thematic core of Unself.
Musically, Unself retains the band’s signature weight in post-metal, sludge, and doom, but allows more space—letting heavy sections hit harder through contrast, not just intensity. Produced by Joe Clayton, the album’s creation involved extended preproduction and recording sessions, aiming for sonic clarity and emotional impact.
CONJURER will support Unself with a UK and European tour starting in November. UK dates will feature Pijn and Death Goals as support; in Europe, Frail Body will join.
