UK metal band CONJURER have released a new live video for “The Searing Glow,” recorded during their sold-out show in November 2025 at The Underworld, one of London’s most iconic underground venues. The footage captures a defining moment in the band’s trajectory as they continue to expand their presence within contemporary heavy music.
The band described the performance as a long-standing milestone, recalling how their initial inspiration came after witnessing Yob perform at the same venue in 2014. Over a decade later, CONJURER returned to headline and sell out the space, marking a significant step forward. To document the occasion, they collaborated with videographer Joe Guppy, whose multi-camera approach captures the raw intensity of their live performance.
“The Searing Glow” is taken from Unself, the band’s latest studio album, which represents a notable evolution in both sound and concept. Since their debut Mire (2018), CONJURER have been recognized for their dense and abrasive approach, while Páthos (2022) expanded their reach within the UK metal scene and beyond.
With Unself, the band embraces a more dynamic and spacious composition style. While retaining their post-metal foundation, they introduce greater use of contrast and restraint, allowing heavier passages to resonate more effectively. This shift stems from a more organic songwriting process, supported by producer Joe Clayton, who facilitated extended pre-production and recording sessions.
Lyrically, the album reflects a deeply personal journey for vocalist and guitarist Dani Nightingale. Following an autism diagnosis at age 31, their understanding of identity and place in the world underwent significant transformation. This process, alongside the exploration of their non-binary identity, is woven into the album’s thematic core.
Rather than focusing on overt political messaging, CONJURER continue to explore internal human experiences, even as broader societal tensions form an underlying backdrop. Unself ultimately presents a balance between introspection and external reality.
The result is a record that prioritizes structural clarity without sacrificing intensity, aligning atmosphere, lyrical depth and musical execution. The release of the live video for “The Searing Glow” stands not only as documentation of a milestone performance, but also as a clear statement of where CONJURER stand today.
