After months of uncertainty and rumors, it has been confirmed that the Brazilian drummer Eloy Casagrande is the new member of Slipknot, as a replacement for Jay Weinberg who was fired last November in circumstances not entirely clarified.
The identity of Casagrande was revealed yesterday, during an intimate show that the band gave in a small bar in California. Although there was no official announcement, the tattoos of the former Sepultura drummer gave him away.
Slipknot will arrive in Mexico for the first time for a headline tour and will do so to celebrate its 25th anniversary with two confirmed dates in the country, in Guadalajara and Mexico City.
