Cage Fight release “Pick Your Fighter” featuring Julien Truchan and announce new album Exuvia

Cage Fight lanza “Pick Your Fighter” junto a Julien Truchan, adelantando su álbum Exuvia, un trabajo que mezcla brutalidad, groove y una evolución sonora más amplia en el metal.

UK metal band Cage Fight, fronted by Rachel Aspe, have released their new single “Pick Your Fighter”, featuring Julien Truchan of Benighted.

“We wanted to write a fun, sing-along party song with a fighting spirit… and that became ‘Pick Your Fighter’,” Aspe explained. The song also pays tribute to French artist Nâdiya.

The vocalist added:
The song includes musical and lyrical references to ‘Et C’est Parti’, a very important motivational theme in my life. And the finishing touch is the extremely heavy guest vocals of Julien Truchan… and lots of pig squeals!”.

The music video embraces an 8-bit fighting game aesthetic, created in collaboration with Enemy Of Boredom Academy, involving students in game design and media production.

The single previews the band’s upcoming album Exuvia, set for release May 1 via Spinefarm Records, featuring production by Sam Bloor and mixing by Jim Pinder.

Drummer Nick Plews commented: “It was an idea that came about after a show. We wanted to create something special, and seeing the final result has been incredible. I'm very proud of what the students achieved.”

The single is part of the upcoming album *Exuvia*, which will be released on May 1st via Spinefarm Records. The album was recorded by Sam Bloor at Lower Lane Studios and mixed by Jim Pinder, known for his work with Sleep Token and Malevolence.
