Japanese metal act Broken By The Scream have entered a decisive new chapter in their career after officially signing with Metal Blade Records, one of the most influential labels in heavy music worldwide. The deal represents a major milestone as the band continues to solidify its position on the global extreme metal stage.
Known for their explosive fusion of crushing riffs, modern extreme metal heaviness, deep growls, harsh screams, and sharp melodic contrasts, Broken By The Scream have carved out a distinctive identity that challenges genre boundaries and sets them apart within the contemporary metal landscape.
As part of this new phase, the band is pushing their latest single “追憶のナスカ”, further showcasing their uncompromising sound and emotionally charged approach, which has steadily gained attention from audiences worldwide.
On the live front, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year. Broken By The Scream will make their debut at Summer Breeze Open Air, alongside confirmed appearances at Wacken Open Air and Reload Festival, firmly establishing their presence on the European festival circuit. Additional European dates are set to be announced soon.
In 2025, the band had already made significant international strides, performing on the main stage at Resurrection Fest and appearing at Japan Expo as part of a nine-date European tour spanning seven countries.
Beyond touring, Broken By The Scream are currently hard at work on new material. While details remain under wraps, fans can expect upcoming releases to push the band’s aggressive, genre-defying sound even further, reinforcing their status as one of Japan’s most forward-thinking heavy acts.
