Japanese trio BABYMETAL and Indian metal band Bloodywood have teamed up for a powerful new collaboration titled “Kon! Kon!”, featured on BABYMETAL’s upcoming album Metal Forth, scheduled for August 2025.
Blending kawaii vocals, traditional dhol percussion, djent guitars, and trilingual lyrics (Japanese, Hindi, English), the song creates an electrifying and genre-bending experience. It embraces each group’s identity: BABYMETAL’s choreographed theatricality and Bloodywood’s high-impact sociopolitical messaging.
The live debut took place at Madison Square Garden in New York, where both bands performed together as part of their joint tour. The energy and visual performance matched the song’s intensity, earning overwhelming fan reactions and setting the tone for the album's release.
This collaboration not only elevates both acts to a new level of international visibility but also exemplifies how metal can transcend geographic and cultural divides. It marks one of the boldest artistic moves in either band’s discography to date.
