The Swedish band of melodic death metal has been promoting his album 'To Drink From The Night Itself' with a tour of Europe with Behemoth and Wolves In The Throne Room.
In addition to promoting that album, At the Gates released an EP titled 'The Mirror Black', same that bears the name of the single they released today with the participation of Rob Miller, with very dark tints, both musical and visual, the video was created by Costin Chioreanu, who was responsible for the art of his latest album.
Tomas Lindberg, lead singer of the band, commented on this single:
"When we decided we wanted to release Rob Miller's two tracks on a seven-inch record, we felt that 'The Mirror Black' was worthy of its own video. Costin I was already excited about the idea, and explained the basic outlines of the song idea. Working with Costin always brings another dimension to our music and my lyrics, so he made his own interpretation of the song's main theme. I am very happy with the result; I really think this is one of the best videos AT GATES has ever made. There are many hidden meanings and other symbolism in this clip, so you can see it many times and find new ones. We as a band are super excited about this release! "
Also, the new seven-inch EP features both songs, "The Mirror Black" and Daggers Of Black Haze, of "To Drink From The Night Itself", in versions that come with the voice of Miller's guests.
