The Ghost Inside runs to its bassist after racist statements

The Californian band The Ghost Inside has officially released the bassist  Jim Riley who in recent days was accused of promoting racist comments after the mass protests in different cities of the United States for the murder of George Floyd.

“The Ghost Insido nació de una escena de pensamiento progresivo, comprensión y avanve. Nuestra música y mensaje siempre ha sido de esperanza y sobre encontrar la luz al final del túnel. El racismo y la intolerancia de cualquier tipo sofocan esa luz, pues cierra y bloquea las puertas que deberían abrirse.

We have decided to separate from bassist Jim Riley. While we don't hear these words directly from his mouth, we do hear murmurs from the incident. At the time we thought it was just a rumor, but it certainly offended and hurt an entire community, a community with which we must remain united.

We should have talked back then and we didn't. We had to dig deeper into the topic. We recognize that we remain silent. We continue our educational process, growing and learning individually. We are here to say that we as a gang completely condemn racism and support the African American community in the fight against sistamatic racism..”

For his part, Jim Riley has taken advantage of his official Twitter account to offer an apology for his statements and admit that it was wrong.
