Cerulli<\/strong> is internationally known for being the leader of the metalcore band Motionless In White<\/strong>, who after releasing their third album ‘Reincarnate’<\/strong><\/em> They will return to Mexico City as stellar next July, fully willing to demonstrate that they have the ability to fill a forum on their own merits and retain the place they have gradually earned on the world metal scene.<\/p>\n

‘Motionless in White’… bonito nombre. Sabemos que fue inspirado en una canci\u00f3n de la -extinta- banda Eighteen Visions.\u00a0\u00bfFueron una gran influencia para el sonido de la agrupaci\u00f3n?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Years ago, when we were looking for a name for the band, Eighteen Visions was - and still is - a huge influence on us. We loved the way they looked and the way their music was so heavy but still had so many elements of Hard Rock in their sound. That is what we do now. We are still a band with a very heavy sound, but we have several elements Groove<\/em> and Hard rock<\/em> in our songs, in addition to the fact that we have always had rhythm changes and a faster battery.<\/p>\n

Hablando de influencias, hace poco hicieron un cover de ‘Du Hast’, de Rammstein como parte de un compilado noventero. \u00bfLos alemanes tambi\u00e9n fueron una inspiraci\u00f3n para su m\u00fasica y aspecto visual?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Estamos fuertemente influenciados por Rammstein. Ellos son una de las bandas m\u00e1s grandes en la escena del metal y espero que alg\u00fan d\u00eda podramos hacer un show tan enorme como el de ellos. Escogimos hacer el cover de ‘Du hast’ para mostrarle a nuestros fans que ellos son una de nuestras bandas favoritas y que su sonido hab\u00eda sido una gran influencia en nuestra m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n

Yes and I love it! I think we have worked very hard to get to this point and seeing that people are really liking what we do is something that causes great feelings for us. I love to share this feeling with all our fans.<\/p>\n

Mucha gente afirma que el tercer \u00e1lbum es el m\u00e1s importante pues es cuando el sonido de una banda queda totalmente definido y marca la direcci\u00f3n que tomar\u00e1 en un futuro. \u00bfEso es lo que significa ‘Reincarnate’ para ustedes?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pienso\u00a0que eso es totalmente correcto. As\u00ed es como me siento sobre este tercer disco. Nos tom\u00f3 dos producciones para darnos cuenta nosotros mismos sobre lo que realmente queriamos hacer como banda y es por eso que ‘Reincarnate’ es mi \u00e1lbum favorito -hasta el momento, claro-<\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo fue el proceso de creaci\u00f3n tras el concepto y sonido de ‘Reincarnate’?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Como te dec\u00eda… se supon\u00eda que buscabamos perfeccionar nuestros sonido y que los fans supieron que ese es el sonido que Motionless In White significa como agrupaci\u00f3n y es como seguir\u00e1 sonando. Quer\u00edamos mantener la m\u00fasica pesada y agresiva, pero con mucho ritmo y darle a la gente temas con los que realmente pudiera cantar junto a nosotros.<\/p>\n

Para este disco tuvieron varias colaboraciones. Nombres como Dani Filth (Cradle of Filth), Maria Brink (In This Moment) o Tim Skold aparecen como invitados en ‘Reincarnate’. \u00bfC\u00f3mo fue trabajar con estos grandes artistas?<\/strong><\/p>\n

What can I tell you? Totally amazing. Tim Sk\u00f6ld is one of my favorite people in the whole world and having him sing along with me on a song that we both prepared as a team was great. Maria and Dani, both were great too as they are great people and made their songs sound better than we originally planned. It is great to have friends who become part of your records.<\/p>\n

Playing around with the name of the album, do you believe in reincarnation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No de la manera “espiritual” que generalmente se conoce. Pero creo que alguien puede tener una experiencia personal muy tr\u00e1gica y ser alguien totalmente distinto despu\u00e9s de eso. Esa esa la clase de “reencarnaci\u00f3n” en la que creo y es en la que me refiero en el titulo del disco. Tuvimos much\u00edsimos errores y tomamos tantas malas decisiones en el pasado de las cuales salimos avante y que nos hizo una banda -mentalmente- diferente despu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

I remember his last show in Mexico City. It was a brutal show with Asking Alexandria, but now, they return to present themselves as the main act. Should your fans have a different expectation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The last time was great, but I think now that we have a chance to headline the show, we're going to really show what Motionless In White is and I'm sure our fans will be leaving the venue expecting to see us again very, very soon. Our Mexican fans are amazing, so kind to us and I hope it is even better this time.<\/p>\n

Vi su show hace un par de meses en el\u00a0Rockville Fest de Florida. \u00bfRecuerdas? Todos los problemas que hubo en el show y hasta alerta de tornado. Incluso muchas bandas no pudieron salir a tocar por lo mismo…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh yeah! We were all the way to Florida and we just prayed that they wouldn't cancel us too. Rockville is one of my favorite festivals in the United States and I would have been so mad if we couldn't have played because of the weather. But it didn't happen and we had a great show!<\/p>\n

A little over a month after his show in Mexico, do you want to send a message to your fans?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, I can't wait to see you again! We are very excited to come back and act in front of all of them. We want to show what we can do on our own. Get ready to whip your heads!<\/p>\n
