The British band will play Friday, May 14, as part of a four-day edition set for May 13–16, 2027, that will bring together nearly 150 acts. The full lineup will be revealed next week.

The news comes shortly after Iron Maiden wrapped the North American leg of 'Run For Your Lives,' the tour marking their 50th anniversary. That run opened August 29 at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena, featured Megadeth as special guests and Anthrax on select dates, stopped at Louder Than Life in Louisville, another DWP festival, and ended September 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The setlist has focused on the band's first nine albums, from 'Iron Maiden' (1980) to 'Fear of the Dark' (1992), and Columbus will follow suit: according to the announcement, the set will draw on the decades that defined their career. The tour now moves through Oceania and Japan, and concludes November 25 in Yokohama.

Before this announcement, the festival had already revealed A Perfect Circle, Primus, Sleeping With Sirens, PRESIDENT, Clutch, Imminence, Saosin, PeelingFlesh, Crowbar, Emmure, Escape The Fate, Showing Teeth and Vana. The range runs from the alternative rock of A Perfect Circle and the twisted bass of Primus to the New Orleans sludge of Crowbar and the deathcore of Emmure and PeelingFlesh.

Passes are on sale now at early bird prices. Options include four-day and single-day general admission (Field, Stadium and GA+), plus VIP, Rock Royalty and Columbus Owners Club tiers, with layaway plans starting at $1 down. Service fees include a contribution to the DWP Foundation, which supports local and national charities. Hotel packages, RV camping passes, and parking and shuttle add-ons are also available at SonicTempleFestival.com.

The 2026 edition sold out and set an attendance record of 184,000, with nearly 145 bands across five stages and My Chemical Romance, Shinedown, Bring Me The Horizon and Tool as headliners. Part of the grounds is given over to visual art: the festival works with invited artists and with Secret Walls, a competition in which street artists from different countries paint murals live, head to head.

Iron Maiden es el primer cabeza de cartel confirmado de Sonic Temple Art + Music 2027, el festival que Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) organiza cada primavera en el Historic Crew Stadium de Columbus, Ohio.
