Faroese singer-songwriter Eiv\u00f8r P\u00e1lsd\u00f3ttir released 'Tungl' on Friday, October 16, her first album for Nuclear Blast Records and the follow-up to 'ENN' (2024). The title is the Faroese word for \"moon,\" and the ten-song record arrives with a music video for 'Og M\u00e1nin Gr\u00e6t \/ And The Moon Cried', the song that opens the tracklist. \"The song is about a distant memory that still lingers, almost like a dream,\" Eiv\u00f8r explains. \"I remember looking at the moon in the dark sky when I was little, wondering why it always looked so sad. I imagined all kinds of reasons and my imagination just got carried away.\" The video was directed by Gwena\u00ebl Akira, who, in Eiv\u00f8r's words, \"understands my music in such a visual way\" and captures \"raw emotions, nature and a dreamlike, distorted reality.\" The director describes the work as a shared process: \"For me, memory is water: it is always falling, even if it is only sometimes visible. Making this with Eiv\u00f8r was a real exchange. She listens and challenges, and every idea came back to me deeper than I sent it.
