Motorama\u2019s relationship with Mexico has grown alongside the band itself. What began with appearances in considerably smaller venues has developed into one of the Russian group\u2019s most significant international connections, culminating in their first performance at Mexico City\u2019s Auditorio Nacional in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert represents more than another stop in their trajectory. It also provides a starting point from which to examine how Motorama have evolved over nearly two decades: the transformation of older songs in the live environment, Vladislav Parshin\u2019s increasingly independent approach to recording and releasing music, the world surrounding Sleep, and I Will Sing, and the questions raised by the material that has followed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahead of their return to Mexico, we spoke with Motorama about the country\u2019s particular place in their history, the differences between studio and stage, the responsibilities of running I\u2019m Home Records, the limitations of the post-punk label and the direction the band\u2019s next chapter might take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
