Queens of the Stone Age have released \u201cWhere the Goth Girls At?,\u201d the third preview of Perfecth, the band\u2019s ninth album and the follow-up to In Times New Roman\u2026. Due October 30 through Matador Records, the record finds Josh Homme drawing this time from something unusually specific: memories of growing up in the Palm Desert suburbs and the fascination, awkwardness and urge to impress that came with teenage attraction. The song starts from a deliberately stripped-down riff that leaves room around Homme\u2019s vocal before opening into a much larger chorus, reinforced by string and horn arrangements. The video reunites the band with Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski, who also directed \u201cEasy Street.\u201d Set around an abandoned power plant, it imagines a world where the goth girls hold the authority and gradually transform everyone who crosses their path. Comedian Steve Agee, dancer and artist Scarlett Kapella, singer and actress Lou Lou Safran and the members of Queens of the Stone Age all appear, with generous amounts of black ink incorporated into the visual concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
