The record arrives October 30, 2026 via Cleopatra Records and will serve as Ministry's 17th studio album.

The new track places the band inside a scenario of technological control and humanity's displacement. “Your time on this planet has passed… we are in control,” an artificial voice warns, using the idea of an intelligence surpassing and replacing its creators as the foundation for a track driven by abrasive guitars, electronic programming and the rhythmic attack associated with Ministry's heaviest work.

Its video expands directly on that premise through a robotic takeover and was directed by Ben Garcia of Rage4Order Designs, in coordination with Jourgensen and former Revolting Cocks member Joshua Bradford.

Jourgensen has been particularly definitive about the record's status. In the official biography accompanying this era, he says he is at peace with ending Ministry and dismisses the idea of eventually returning to make another album. The conclusion arrives after a career that began in Chicago in 1981, during which the project evolved from its early synth-pop roots into one of the defining forces in heavy industrial music.

Albums including Twitch, The Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69 were central to that transformation, while later records continued the combination of metal, programming, sampling and social commentary that became a defining part of Jourgensen's work.

Hate To Go began taking shape in 2025 at Jourgensen's home studio, with Justin Leeah and Michael Rozon handling engineering. Current Ministry members Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto contribute guitars, alongside bassist Paul D'Amour, sampler and synth player John Bechdel and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña.

One of the record's most significant moments arrives at the end. Paul Barker, a central figure in Ministry from 1986 through the early 2000s and Jourgensen's longtime collaborator in Revolting Cocks, returns on “We're Still Here,” contributing bass and programming. Jourgensen has described the track as an appropriate final statement for Ministry's career.

The album will be available on CD, cassette, digital formats and multiple vinyl editions, alongside deluxe box sets featuring a picture disc, a 7-inch with Die Krupps remixes and additional material.

Ministry ha estrenado “Singularity”, un nuevo adelanto de Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), el álbum con el que Al Jourgensen pretende cerrar definitivamente la trayectoria discográfica de una de las bandas fundamentales del metal industrial.
