Fans of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE can expect more music from the This Consequence era in the near future. In a recent interview with Scott Davidson of Rebel Radio, vocalist Jesse Leach confirmed that several songs left off the band's 2025 album will eventually be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Leach, the band recorded a total of 14 songs during the sessions for This Consequence, with four tracks ultimately omitted from the final album. \u201cWe recorded 14 tracks, and four were left off. One got re-released kind of quietly on a compilation to raise money for an animal shelter. It's on CD now. And then I think we're working with the same company again to put one more song out with that. And then the other two we hope to see out in the next couple weeks as a B-side seven-inch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The comments suggest that fans will soon have access to a broader picture of the material created during the album's recording process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leach also discussed the growing trend of releasing singles and EPs rather than focusing exclusively on full-length albums. He revealed that the idea has become an increasingly attractive option for the band. \u201cI'm also not opposed to doing EPs. I think it's actually a really good idea to just knock some stuff out. We've never done it, but we're talking about maybe just doing EPs for fun. And it makes that whole process of putting a record out quicker. And we also will write all these songs, and some of them don't even make it on the record, so why not just focus on five or six of the really good ones and put out an EP or a seven-inch or a 10-inch with exclusive vinyl and fun stuff like that, collectible stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leach also revealed that discussions regarding the follow-up to This Consequence have already begun. \u201cI'd say we'll end up doing something probably early next year or mid-next year. It all depends on what the demand is for touring and where everybody's head is at. It's hard to write while we're touring, and we've got, like, three back-to-back tours.
