Rather than aiming for a massive arena-rock comeback anthem, the band chose something much more intimate and emotionally destructive. The song explores the physical and emotional exhaustion left behind by life\u2019s most brutal experiences, reaching the point where human answers no longer seem enough and the only thing left is looking toward something greater for meaning, relief or salvation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taylor Momsen described the song as \u201cdesperation turned into music,\u201d and that feeling completely defines the track.
