The legendary Finnish group officially confirmed the \u201cPlays Metallica Vol. 2\u201d tour, an extensive run across South America throughout late 2026 and early 2027 that will also include two major performances in Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The tour begins on October 3 in Lima, Peru, before traveling through Ecuador, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile ahead of its final shows in Mexico during January 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">In Mexico, the band will perform on January 14 at Escenario GNP in Monterrey and later arrive at the iconic Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City on January 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The \u201cPlays Metallica Vol. 2\u201d concept serves as a direct continuation of the material that originally transformed APOCALYPTICA into an international phenomenon during the 1990s. The band gained worldwide recognition by reinterpreting songs from Metallica using only cellos, creating a completely unique identity that fused classical music, metal and cinematic arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Decades later, the project continues to resonate strongly within the global heavy music scene.
